Job Title: Steel Detailer

Location: North Salt Lake City,Utah

Salary: 70,000−100,000 DOE

The Opportunity

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for leading teams? We’re seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to take charge of our detailing team, focusing on structural steel projects. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of our projects. Your expertise in SDS/2 software and your ability to lead and inspire a team will be key to driving success in this position.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the steel detailing team, ensuring projects are completed with precision and on schedule.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to ensure seamless communication and accuracy throughout the detailing process.
• Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.
• Use SDS/2 software to create detailed and accurate models for structural steel projects.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior detailers to foster growth and maintain high performance standards.

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of experience in steel detailing.
• Strong proficiency in SDS/2 software.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC standards and experience with commercial/industrial steel projects.
