Ledgent is working with a large company located in Englewood in staffing a Senior AP Specialist position. This position a full-time Hybrid opportunity. You must have an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field to be considered. You also must live in Colorado to apply for the position.
Job Duties:
Handle all aspects of accounts payable, including entering invoices, verifying vendor banking details, and issuing checks as needed.
Carefully review invoices, check requests, and expense reports to ensure they're properly authorized and accurately coded to the general ledger.
Keep up-to-date records for sales and use tax, as well as personal property tax, to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
Verify that invoices, check requests, and wire transfers meet multi-state tax requirements and are assessed correctly for use tax.
Maintain organized schedules to track tax compliance needs-like those related to entertainment expenses and other reportable items.
Ensure 1099 reporting is completed accurately and on time.
Prepare monthly accrual journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
Manage intercompany invoicing, including preparation and reconciliation.
Oversee Accounts Receivable and follow up to ensure timely payment collections.
Download bank statements regularly and assist with cash management tasks in Oracle, including entering external transactions.
