Position Summary:

Commercial facing data analyst will provide support and analytics to EMEA sales organization. The role can understand commercial challenges, derive insights from data & make recommendations.

Key Goals & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to simplify & present large volumes of sophisticated data easily.
  • Supports monthly & quarterly business review reporting & development.
  • Provides proactive analytics: Gap Analysis, Heatmaps, Market Intelligence.
  • Ability to produce analytics quickly to answer key business questions e.g. what is happening in a Region, territory, account, or product group?
  • Owner of annual revenue target setting for sales teams within region.
  • Collaborates cross functionality & gains consensus of colleagues.

How will these be achieved?

  • Key point of contact for Commercial selling team
  • Produces daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly reports including but not limited to:
    • Funnel reviews
    • Critical metric performance tracking
    • Business reviews
    • Deep dive reviews
    • Territory Planning
  • SFDC support
  • Onboarding for key analytics tools
  • Data maintenance steward and customer service liaison to ensure data quality is upheld for systems to report on
  • Continually assesses relevance of metrics against business needs/priorities.
  • Processes, cleanses & validates data used for analytics.

Essential Skills:

  • Analytical - Has the ability to conduct variety of analyses, quantitative or qualitative. Willing to define and implement new techniques to improve insight and drive focused actions. Proficient in a multitude of key analytic platforms including Microsoft office, Power BI and SFDC.
  • Process improvement - Has orientation to and experience in improving processes. Must regard nearly anything and everything as a process that is amenable to continuous improvement. 
  • Multi-tasking / Prioritization - Ability to lead multiple projects on a time scale simultaneously. Identify needs versus wants and prioritize team initiatives based on the available resources and critical needs.
  • Business sense - Shows ability to understand drivers of a successful business. Allows manager to arrive at right drivers in pricing, compensation, and process improvement decisions.
  • Commercial experience - Candidate has either worked in a sales capacity or has experience working closely with or supporting sales personnel and management. Should have a strong understanding of what analytical framework is needed to run a commercial organization.
