Outside Sales-Business Developer - Base plus commission

SUMMARY
The Business Developer primary emphasis is on bringing in new business. This is done by qualifying potential business opportunities and contacting key decision makers through a combination of social selling tools, phone, video, email and in person sales calls. Successful people in this role are comfortable engaging with businesspeople at all levels and selling critical business services. This requires the ability to use consultative selling techniques (communication skills, questioning, and listening techniques, etc.), digital marketing platforms, and the discipline to be persistent while following a daily and weekly plan and demonstrating the desire and drive to become a top performing sales professional.

Base Salary: $45,000- $48,000 with uncapped commissions with additional incentives for meeting KPI thresholds. (this is an in person role/ not remote)

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8a-5pm half of your day spent on outside sales activities door pulling/meeting with businesses and other half of your day on inside sales activities.

Estimated Overview of Time Commitment a day:
• 6 hours on Sales Calls/Activity
• 1 hour on Sales Planning
• 1 hour on Marketing Activity

Daily Activity:
• 20 DM calls, including 3 appointments
• 50 Prospect LinkedIn Connections
• 1 Marketing Email Segment

Skills Required:

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably selling services/solutions to businesses
  • Excellent consultative selling skills including communication, questioning, listening, and rapport building
  • Ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities
  • Comfort engaging with decision makers at all levels of an organization
  • Persistence and discipline to execute a daily/weekly sales plan
  • Desire and drive to be a top performing sales professional
