The Opportunity

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with a strong focus on cloud services and a proficiency in Python to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal as we develop a broad suite of applications ranging from Ecommerce platforms to advanced CAD-like planning software, incorporating cutting-edge technologies like computer vision and point cloud processing of LiDAR scans.

In this role you will

• Collaborate closely with our talented backend and product teams to develop and launch innovative products and features.
• Play a key role in architecting and implementing the backend systems that will serve as the backbone for our diverse suite of applications.
• Create foundations and frameworks that streamline development for the entire team, abstracting the complexities of our systems.
• Build tools that expedite our sensor deployments and support their ongoing operational health
• Work in tandem with design and product teams to ensure our backend solutions support a world-class user experience.
• Champion robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have

• Hold a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent experience.
• Have significant experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with cloud services.
• Be eager and able to learn and work across a variety of technologies and applications, including ecommerce, IoT sensors, CAD-like planning software, computer vision, and LiDAR scan processing.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, contributing to a team environment.
• Be passionate about quality, always striving to improve both your work and the work of those around you.

Job Compensation Range:

Salary Range: $170,000 – $245,000

The annual pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed above. If you are applying to this role at a location that is not the preferred primary location, please keep in mind the salary range will vary and may fall outside of what is listed. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the Density consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. Equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
