One of New Yorks top plaintiff personal injury firms seeks an entry level legal assistant with immediate availability. We are proud of our long history as a highly respected personal injury law firm, known for our commitment to excellence and exceptional client care. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Managing Attorney, Practice Administrator and attorney/paralegal teams, preparing correspondences, assisting with daily mail and periodically covering for paralegals and other support staff, as needed.

We are looking for a highly motivated multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to complete tasks quickly but accurately, communicate clearly and effectively with other team members and maintain organized and accurate reports related to their job duties.

The ideal team member is professional, punctual, polite and attentive. The ideal team member is someone who has excellent communication skills, has the ability to remain calm under pressure and has a strong personal focus on meeting or exceeding individual, department and Firm goals. This is a fast-paced and high-volume position.

Legal Assistant Requirements:
Strong customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Highly organized, efficient and proactive with an attention to detail
Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible or cannot be improved
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM, in-office
Bilingual, preferably Spanish, is a plus but is not required.

Job Type: Full-time, In-Office (Manhattan Office)

Salary: $20-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience
