Duties:
Under the supervision of the Email Marketing & Automation Manager, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends Marketing department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Email Marketing
Provide direction and recommendations for regional email marketing campaigns including overall strategy, best practices, audience segmentation, and testing
Assist with cultivation of constituents for future U.S. Ministries fundraising and volunteer engagement opportunities
Build and send emails in Marketing Cloud including newsletters, fundraising appeals, event promotions, volunteer recruitment, and others
Assist with the implementation of Classy autoresponder emails
Optimize email KPIs including inbox deliverability, data feeds, and mobile metrics; cultivate growth by finetuning segment lists based on behaviors
Guide U.S. Ministries teams in utilizing Salesforce to send emails to constituents
Create templates for Salesforce Send List emails as requested
Maintain documentation of processes, streamlining to improve efficiencies
Skilled in content-based A/B testing
Data Analysis
Analyze email metrics to evaluate success
Guide U.S. Ministries staff in the development of action plans for future campaigns
Industry Knowledge and Advancements
Stay current on industry trends related to marketing strategies and innovation; maintain expert status on Marketing Cloud and journey mapping
Recommend new tools to enhance cultivation, engagement, and customization
Cross-Functional Teambuilding: Participate in cross-functional teams as requested to build synergy with Development and Marketing professionals. These teams will be tasked with brainstorming new strategies and test models, as well as joint data analysis and reporting outcomes
Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
Qualifications:
Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
2+ years of experience with email marketing and data analysis; knowledge of Marketing Cloud and Classy preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills; professional ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms across all levels of management
Ability to travel to Joni and Friends headquarters quarterly
Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines are necessary
Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, and team player who is flexible and able to work independently
Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet
Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation for this role is $22.50-$25.00 per hour. This is a national benchmark. Compensation will differ based on location of candidate hired.
This is a remote position.
