Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Salisbury, MD. The position will be a part of a team responsible for creating and improving dashboards, reports, and processes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from multiple business units within Perdue AgriBusiness and develop tools to provide insights that drive business strategy and value. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical background and problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn business processes.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the specific needs of different stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as commercial, finance, operations) to understand their data needs, provide insights and identify opportunities for business process improvement and efficiency gains through data analysis
• Liaise between Information Technology and AgriBusiness departments users, ensuring the needs from the business are met by the existent data collection/retrieval structure provided by IT
• Meet with key stakeholders to present and review data output to improve operational performance, support decisions, and enhance planning efforts
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability through monitoring and validation of data governance policies and procedures, assuring data integrity and security

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field OR 5+ years experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikView

Experience Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of previous business experience (Merchandising, Sales, and/or Logistics) 
• 1 - 3 years of previous experience in data analytics
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as the position requires direct communication with end users and business leaders

Experience Preferred

• Knowledge of Data Analytics concepts and tools
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis is a plus
• Understanding of the agricultural business industry and processes

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings
• May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another
• May need to access files, supplies and equipment
• Work activity is in an open-partitioned, cubicle office
